Before combat, you can unlock skills and drag them onto the ring to take into battle. The combat requires quick thinking and reflexes on Heroic mode, (my favorite, and a requirement for many of the badges on Sonny 2) and is still quite strategic for the slow-thin - er, speed-challenged players of Easy mode.Ĭombat consists of clicking on the target and selecting a skill from your skill ring. I will break down the rating into subsections: I am torn whether to list this as 9/10 and 10/10 respectively or the current lower rating. The dark Psychological's art has a slightly eerie, evilly electric feel to it, the versatile Hydraulic's art (Armor Games-only, unfortunately) shows the class' defensive prowess and offensive power, and the brutish Biological's art looks animalistic and poisonous, which is appropriate to its play-style. The art perfectly conveys the characters' powers.

The zone backgrounds are great in both games.

Shock: Burst of (usually yellow) energy flows through the target.

Often accompanied by a status effect on the victim.

Magic 'arrow': Usually (guess what!) magic, the attackers fires a colored beam of elemental magic at the victim.

Basic attack: Usually melee, the attacker charges at the victim and attacks.

There are essentially 3 general attack types: In Sonny 1, the graphics are impressive, but the battle art leaves much to be desired. The original Sonny's graphics are not too bad either. Sonny 2 has some of the most hauntingly beautiful graphics I have seen in a Flash game. So, with no further ado, I present Sonny 2! Whoopty-do! Er, an irrational number is the square root of 2!
